Faux-Couture?
Haute couture, according to wikipedia, is French for “high sewing” or “high dressmaking”;it refers to the creation of exclusive custom-fitted clothing. Haute couture is made to order for a specific customer, and it is usually made from high-quality, expensive fabric and sewn with extreme attention to detail and finished by the most experienced and capable seamstresses, often using time-consuming, hand-executed techniques.
Faux couture, refers to the spirit of what haute coture is, and that is high quality/high impact items, made specifically for you. Unfortunately, I am not financially able to afford true couture items. Therefore, faux-couture refers to the practice of finding the best items for my uniquely curvy body for a moderate price (although we all are prone to splurge!) and customizing them for a look that is uniquely mine.
